A great opening meet for our short course season.
500 free: Best times by Katie Brasington (6:44.62) and Kaitlin Buckley (6:42.59). Swimming the event for the first time were Drew Husted (7:18.40) and Nick Venturelli (6:10.16). Brian Keane dropped over a minute from his best time in posting a 5:42.21.
1000 free: Both Kelsey O'Neal and Liz Antaya swam the event for the first time in their careers. Both were impressive final times. Kelsey went 13:01 and Liz went 12:42.
400 IM: Nick Venturelli dropped 14 seconds to finish in 5:20.86. Maggie Hickey dropped 10 seconds to go 6:09.63. Carolyn Blout chopped 18 seconds from her time, going under 6 minutes for the first time in 5:44.91. Ben Zelvis swam the event for the first time in his young life and posted a 7:00.1!!
1650 free: Greg Toltin's debut in this event was a 20:13.3. Clarke battled stroke for stroke and touched out the runner up by 1 tenth of a second in winning the event in 18:07.6!
