KINGFISH QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS!!!
Long hours, early mornings and lots of hard work has paid off for the Kingfish Swim Team athletes, who train at the Kingsbury Club in Kingston, Mass. Elise Campbell, Brian Keane and Hunter Chaisson will represent the Kingfish in Orlando, Florida on March 16th - 22nd at the Junior National Championship meet.
During the weekend of March 5th - 8th Kingfish swimmers competed in the 13 and over New England Championships held at MIT. Overall the team placed among the top teams in New England.
Individually the Kingfish had great success with team members qualifying for Speedo Sectionals
being held at Harvard University March 12th - 15th. Among this group are Duxbury swimmers, seniors Hunter Chiasson, Bernardo Neves, juniors Kaitlin Buckley, Patrick O'Neal, and sophomore Emily Hutchinson, Marshfield swimmers, junior Erin Campbell, eighth grader Elise Campbell and Hanson swimmer Brian Keane, a standout swimmer for BC High.
This group of talented athletes is lead by Coach Jay Craft, Olympic Trial Swimmer, who was named this year's Boston Globe Coach of the Year. Coach Jay Craft is also the head coach of the Duxbury High School Swim Teams. His Duxbury girls team took 6th place at the State Championship meet last month, and his boys team placed 8th. His outstanding coaching abilities, motivational techniques and dedication to this team and the sport of swimming has guided these athletes to reach their goals and beyond.
The Kingfish Swim Team swims at the Kingsbury Club in Kingston. The Kingfish Swim Team is currently accepting swimmers of all ages and abilities. Tryouts are every Tuesday at 4PM.
