Hello Kingston! Wanted to let all families know that Long Course registration is live so that you can go in and register your swimmer at any time! You need to go to kingfishswimming.com and on the top bar is a heading “for parents” hover over it and it will drop down and allow you to register for “competitive swim” “long course”, “kingston location”. If you aren’t sure if you already registered for long course shoot me an email and I’d be happy to check for you.
Please don’t assume you are registered. All swimmers MUST be registered in the system for long course before heading back to the pool on April 3rd. Let me know if you experience any issues via email or by calling me.

Attached please find meet info as well as our entry for Silvers this weekend at WPI in Worcester.
I will need timers for all sessions and will be sending out what we need as soon as I get it. Please keep in mind, timing is not difficult and is even easier when there plenty of people to share the job! Take a look at the entry and please be willing to step up once the request goes out as I will have to assign if I don’t receive enough volunteers.

The Kingsbury Club in Kingston has informed us that the club will be closing around 10a tomorrow morning due to the impending weather. Therefore, no practices for competetive or rec will be held.
They are planning on opening Wednesday if they have power but I will let everyone know as soon as I find out.

SWIMMERS QUALIFIED FOR SILVERS:
After reviewing the entries at all sites for Silvers, it has been determined that there is room for Bonus entries with the following guidelines:
1 event per meet = 4 bonus events
2 events per meet = 3 bonus events
3 events per meet = 2 bonus event
4 events per meet = 1 bonus events
5+evenst per meet= 0 bonus events
Bonus swims can be any event in which the swimmer has a time (no NT) and is slower than the top-end standard. *Only swimmers already entered into the meet are eligible for these bonus events
*Distance session events (1000 and 1650) are not eligible for bonus – Coach Craft needs to know if your swimmer would like to add any events to what they are already swimming no later than tomorrow, 3/10 at 5pm.

On Sunday April 23 there will be an officials training clinic at 9:00am at Roger Williams University in Bristol RI. Our goal is to have at least 6 representatives from each location of our club attend this training to become certified officials. Kingfish hosts about 5-6 meets annually. Without having parents as officials, we would be unable to continue hosting these meets. Your time & effort will certainly help our club continue to advance. As a sign of the importance and value to us needing officials, the club will reimburse any expenses incurred to register as an official, as well as credit your account $100. Having our own officials will also give us a better opportunity to host championship level meets such as silvers or regionals! Please e-mail me if you would like to be added to the list for the clinic no later than 3/24 so that we can have an exact count.
