Tryouts/ Short Course Registration LIVE!!!

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted August 24, 2016 at 11:40 pm
Hello Kingfish-

I have finally been able to post times for tryouts for both locations.   Tryouts for all levels in Kingston will be offered on the following dates and times:

Monday, August 29 at 5 pm
Tuesday, August 30 at 5 pm
Thursday September 1 at 5 pm
Tuesday September 6 at 7 pm
Thursday September 8 at 7 pm

Tryouts for all levels in Medfield  will be offered on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, August 30 at 6pm
Thursday September 1 at 6pm

A few things to know about tryouts:

– These tryouts are our opportunity to make the best recommendations possible for a placement for each individual swimmer.
– Swimmers, to the best of their ability, should anticipate swimming one length of each competitive stroke. (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly)
– They are “drop in”, but if you know which session you plan to attend, it will help our planning tremendously if you email us in advance at loneil@kingfishswimming.com.
– Anyone who attends a tryout should expect to hear from us by the end of their tryout week.
– Any swimmer that is already on team at either location need NOT do a tryout.   If any swimmer is confused as to which level they should be registering for definitely contact your coach and they will direct you.

Please contact Lynn O’Neil by phone (774-766-9063) or email (loneil@kingfishswimming.com) with any questions. Thanks and we look forward to seeing lots of people in the pool!

FALL REGISTRATION IS LIVE!!!!!

Please realize everyone MUST register for fall short course, your long course registration does NOT carry over.    Go to the top of the page on our homepage at www.kingfishswimming.com    There will be a top bar and one of the selections says “for parents”, hover over it and it will drop down and give you the choices for registration as well as the location choice.

Spots have already started to fill rapidly!  Please be aware we only have a certain amount of space allotted to us in our pools so we WILL hit capacity once again this season!  Don’t get left out, register NOW!!!!!

Calling all Kingfish!

Do you have a friend who wants to join our awesome team? We hope so! We think a lot of people will be inspired by the upcoming Olympics, so we thought we’d let people learn a little more about Kingfish by hosting an informational night during the swimming finals. Next Tuesday night, August 9, please bring a friend and come by The Pub at Kingsbury, Kingston, MA watch a few races, and talk to our coaching staff about why swimming is such a great sport. We can answer any questions they might have about joining Kingfish this fall.

If you do plan to attend, please reply to Lauren Brown (laurenlizzie@yahoo.com) and let us know who you’ll be bringing along. Let’s get the word out about our terrific team!

Time Trials in Springfield Tomorrow (KINGSTON ONLY)

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted July 10, 2016 at 12:23 am

The host team has decided to do some time trials tomorrow right after the morning session (not after the afternoon session) for up to 15 minutes. This is only for the swimmers that are already in the meet. There will be NO time trials in the afternoon, so anyone in the afternoon session has to come earlier if they want to swim in the time trials (around 12pm).

Also, keep in mind swimmers cannot swim more than 5 events per day and time trials count for this 5.  You will have to let Coach know to  scratch some events if you are already at 5.

Each event will be $5 dollars and Coach has to know first thing which event if any, each swimmer wants to do.

As always, let me know if you have any questions.

BUBBLE DOWN REGULAR PRACTICE TOMORROW (KINGSTON ONLY)

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted June 9, 2016 at 9:49 pm
KINGSTON ONLY

So we have been notified bubble is down and all groups can swim tomorrow, Friday at the Kingsbury Club in Kingston.

I had sent an email out saying DEV and AG would be swimming at PWP tomorrow but you will not be going there you will be at Kingsbury at your regular practice time!

We have been asked by management at the club to NOT put backpacks or belongings on the tables near the snack shack.  As we do every year, please put all swim things, bags, etc over near the fence so they are out of members way.

Let me know if you have any questions at all.

REGISTRATION REFUNDS POSTED (MEDFIELD)

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted June 8, 2016 at 10:10 pm

MEDFIELD SWIMMERS…………………..

I’m happy to say the refund of $72.00 for the overpayment on registration fees has been deposited into everyones escrow accounts!

I am so sorry this process took so long and I truly appreciate everyones patience!

If you were a TRANSFER from Adirondack and do not see the $72 in your “credit balance” please let me know so that I can get them to do it for you.   As I stated initially, I will just pull this to pay towards the next meet fee that is posted on your swimmers account.

Additionally, if you have any equip/apparel that you have been waiting for, Stacey Stringfellow will have that to distribute by mid next week.  Long course tshirts order has been placed and once they arrive I will get them out to everyone as well.

If you have any questions please email or call anytime!

Kingston Rec/Kingston Bubble Down

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted June 3, 2016 at 9:02 am

> Just a quick reminder that SUMMER REC starts up in Kingston tomorrow, June 2nd. Unfortunately, we tried to keep rec going in Medfield but it will not work so we will not be offering a summer program at that location.
>
> Be aware that your swimmer needs to be registered in order to swim this session so if you aren’t already, registration is currently live.
>
>
> Additionally, bubble is scheduled to start coming down next Monday in KINGSTON (don’t have a date for MEDFIELD YET) and weather permit should be complete by Wednesday putting us back in the pool by Thursday. Therefore, there would be no practices held for any groups during that time period. Stay tuned for updates!
