Juniors and Seniors-

Meet conflicts need to be submitted to me no later than 9/11.  All competitive swimmers will be entered in all appropriate meets unless I am notified  otherwise.  All rec team swimmers need to let me know of meets you would like your swimmer to participate in no later than 9/11.   Please note, if you have changes in your schedule that will impact you participating in a meet that has already been entered your escrow account WILL still be charged.   Here is the link for our 2014/2015 Meet schedule  https://www.kingfishswimming.com/?page_id=73

We have had a slight change to our fit clinic schedule.  We will be doing fittings and taking orders for all our items that we order in bulk (team towel, caps with names, team suits, warmups, parkas) on Monday from 5-7 at Kingsbury in the back of the club near locker rooms for all DEV, AGE GROUPERS and ALL REC SWIMMERS.  We will do the same thing on Friday from 5-7 for all JUNIORS and SENIORS but it may have to happen before practice or during practice if the bubble is back up.  It is your responsibility to get your suit orders and sizing placed so JUNIORS/SENIORS please see Mrs. ONeil that day for your orders.  As that time comes closer we can get a better idea of time and another email will go out.  Keep in mind we order these items once a year and we cannot add on once the orders have been placed.  Additionally, all swimmers that will be participating in meets MUST have a team suit so please plan accordingly and we will try to have you out of there as quickly as possible.  Any questions about the clinic please email Lynn at loneil@kingfishswimming.com or call her at 774-766-9063.

Thanks,

Kingsbury Club Stroke Clinic

Written by admin Posted August 9, 2014 at 2:59 pm
We will be running a stroke clinic at the Kingsbury Club in mid
August.  Each stroke will be covered and any current Kingfish, who is
looking for EVEN MORE stroke instruction and refinement is welcome to
attend.  It will be $100, and well worth it.  The swimmers will be on
break at that time, and the clinic is optional.  It is technically designed
for non-Kingfish but we would never turn away a team member that yearns for more
technical knowledge.

The dates are:
Aug 19 from 5-7pm
Aug 20 from 4-6pm
Aug 21 from 5-7pm
Aug 22 from 5-7pm
Christian and I are running it.  You can email Christian at
cbueno@kingfishswimming.com to sign up.
Thanks.

Last SSSL Meet of the Season

Written by admin Posted July 24, 2014 at 1:59 pm
It doesn’t appear that we are going to have enough
people to warrant a bus rental so you will be on your own for transportation to
Newport on Monday.  That being said if people could let me know if they are
planning on attending the beach trip  I would appreciate it as I need to
determine if practice will be held.Just another reminder tomorrow is
our last SSSL meet of the season.  The meet will be at Kingsbury Club and
we will be swimming against Cohasset.

I am attaching the Signup Genius
link so that parents of swimmers participating in the meet can signup to
volunteer.   We are still in need of a place judge
and
one more ribbon person.  This past weeks meet
was quite a success thanks to everyone who pitched in.  If you have a child
swimming in the meet and haven’t signed up to volunteer yet please take
advantage of registering for one of the 2 positions left to be
filled.

Our Kingfish Team Apparel store will be open for
orders again on August 10.  It will remain open until September 10 to
enable everyone to get their orders in for Tshirts, shorts, sweatpants, pinnies
etc.  The link for ordering will be emailed out within the next 10
days.  Please keep in mind also we will be having our annual fit clinic at
the beginning of September.  The date is still being discussed however, it
will be at the start of short course and after school begins.  This will be
where you will be able to order new team suits, team towels, caps with names,
and all items that we order once a year in bulk.  Stay tuned for more info!
