Season end Practice Dates, etc….

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted February 19, 2018 at 6:55 pm

Please note these important dates!

Winter Rec (KINGSTON) will be finishing up this Thursday 2/22. Spring rec will be starting up on March 1st so please note that your swimmer is NOT automatically registered for the session. If you want to get that done now registration is live so you can register and save your spot! If you can’t remember if you have previously registered for the session email or call me and I can check for you. Spring rec will run 3/1-5/27.

All competitive groups (KINGSTON/MEDFIELD) will be finishing up their short course season practices on March 23rd. Long course practices will be starting up on April 3rd, will run for 2 weeks, then all groups will be off spring break (4/15-4/22). Practice will then start again on 4/23 and run through end of August. As a reminder, your swimmer is NOT automatically signed up for long course season. You must go in and register again the same way you registered for short course.

All seniors that qualified for sectionals will be leaving for Austin, Tx in or around March 21st. During practices over the next few weeks make sure to wish them luck!

Lastly, high school state champs division 1 and 2 finished up this past weekend for tons of our swimmers! They were so exciting and such an accomplishment for all Kingfish that participated! CONGRATS…………….hard work definitely pays off!

Please let me know if there are any questions,

REMINDER: 10u Tech Suit Policy

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted February 9, 2018 at 1:32 pm
Coaches-

As we begin our end-of-season calendar I’d like to take a moment to remind coaches of the 10&Under Tech Suit policy, which was enacted this season by the New England Swimming Board. To avoid issues on deck, please remind the parents on your team of the new policy ahead of Regionals, 10&Under Championships, and Silvers. Below you’ll find a link to the notice of the policy, along with an updated list of suits that are and are not allowed.

Thanks and have a great end to your Short Course season!

Timing Assignments Regionals PLEASE READ!

Written by Lynn Oneil Posted at 12:46 am

To follow you will find timing assignments for regionals at Keefe Tech this weekend.

Please note I have put some extras in to certain slots (depending on volunteers I received) so that sessions could be broken up and single individuals wouldn’t get stuck timing the entire session.

Additionally, I have inserted families into slots that I needed coverage so please be cognisant of your assignments.  As a reminder, all timers are FULLY RESPONSIBLE for their timing slots and if you cannot fulfill it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to find a replacement for that session!  I cannot help you via a phone call or a text as I will not be at the pool so plan accordingly.

We are fully responsible as a team for our timing assignments and will BE FINED if all timing assignments are not met!  Please be conscious of this and of your fellow families working the deck that could “use a break”!  Its alot of fun being on deck…….way closer to your swimmer and the time passes quickly!!!

You will all be present at the timers meetings so make a friend and be aware of who the other “available” parents are in your session so that you can switch off accordingly!
