MEDFIELD NEW PRACTICE SCHEDULE

OKAY MEDFIELD, here is the schedule you have been waiting for!

I have attached a new practice schedule for all groups that has been worked on all week.  The coaching staff have worked tirelessly to put together something that they hope will work for everyone and put all swimmers in a practice schedule that will give them more instruction and more individualized attention.

Please note, as much as we would like to say this is the final schedule there may be some kinks to work out but noone will know that until we get into it.  We appreciate everyones patience as we work to grow this dynamite new arm of Kingfish Swimming.

Long course for SENIOR and JUNIOR groups will start this coming MONDAY MARCH 28th.

Long course for AGE GROUPER and DEVELOPMENTAL groups will start on APRIL 4th.

I will also be doing the FIT CLINIC I promised everyone this coming TUESDAY MARCH 29th from 6-8pm.  I will have suit size runs for boys and girls as well as warmups, and parkas.  The suits are Speedo so if you aren’t sure how they will fit this will be your time to do it.  All competitive Kingfish MUST HAVE A TEAM SUIT!  If you already gave me a size for your swimmer feel free to come by and change it up but I will be placing the team order next Wednesday the 30th and if you have not given me a size one will be ordered for you.
Any parents that can help write the orders up for me that nite would be greatly appreciated.  I know alot of you emailed me saying you could if you were available so if possible send me an email letting me know……I could use maybe 4-5 moms.

Parent Meeting (Medfield)

Hello Medfield Kingfish!!!

We will be holding a parent meeting at the Kingsbury Club in Medfield on the pool deck, next Tuesday the 22nd at 530p.

I  will be taking suit sizes for your swimmers so please come with that information.  Any equipment that has been ordered I will be delivering as well.

We will be discussing reg fee questions, practice schedules, start up dates, etc and the coaching staff will be on deck to fill everyone in on whats been happening as well as answer any and all of your questions.

If you know anyone that has not registered yet but is interested in hearing more about our team please let them know and bring them along!  And if anyone has questions in the interim I can be reached via email or my cell is 774-766-9063.

Winter Rec/Spring Rec/Team Store

Just a few announcements………..

Winter rec will be finishing up this Sunday 2/28.  Spring Rec starts up Tuesday 3/1 and will run through May 29th.   Please note that your swimmer is NOT automatically signed up for each session.  You MUST go in and register for each individual session unless you have done it previously.  If your child is not registered please do not drop them off for practice as they will not be permitted to swim.

On the Competitive side, short course will be swimming through March 30th.  Long course will then start up on April 11 and run through August.  Please note that registration is live at this time so feel free to go in and grab your spot for your swimmer!  Again, please realize that your child is not automatically entered into each session you must register them!

Please take note of the equipment your swimmer is required to have for all their practices.  I have several things that are required in stock but otherwise, provide links upon registration of our distributors to make ordering easy.

Our team store through Rockland Athletics will be opening up 3/7 to allow our swimmers to order any apparel they are in need of for the upcoming season!    The store will remain open through 4/11 which at that time it will close, process orders and get them sent out to families.

Silver Scratches

Anyone that is scratching Saturday or Sunday events at Silvers needs to let Coach Craft know by 3pm this afternoon.

Scratch rules are in effect.  That is, like all championship meets, all scratches need to meet the scratch deadlines the day before

Silver Timing Assignments

We are required to provide a certain amount of timers for our upcoming Silvers meet this weekend in Beverly.

In sessions that they asked for us to provide 1 timer I listed 2 families so that the job could be shared.  Sunday am they are only requesting 1 backup timer so I left it at 1 parent.  Sunday pm they asked for 2 so I have 3 families listed and I tried to make sure your swimmers were in last events.

These timing assignments are required not optional therefore, if you cannot fulfill the obligation for some reason you must find a replacement for that session.
